Manahoana (Hello)!
There is so very much to say but I’ll spare you somewhat…mostly because it is very late on my last night in the U.S.! So, below are just some thoughts…not necessarily full sentences, but heartfelt…and a tiny bit of logistics.
The last couple of months have been a wonderful whirlwind of family and friends and I feel incredibly lucky to have had this time. Here are some things that have come from this time.
What I know:
- I am surrounded by amazing people, very amazing people. That’s you all.
- I have not been able to see everyone I hoped and wanted to and I’ll never be able to spend as much time as I would like to with each of you.
- I have not used this blog very much so far.
What I learned:
- I am as bad, if not worse, at keeping in touch than I thought….which is pretty awful. Along these lines…my sincere ‘thank you’ for all of your posts so far. I am delighted by every comment and I hope you’ll continue to follow and join in here.
- I love all of my friends and family beyond words.
- I am committed to keeping in touch, but I know I won’t be great at it. However, I can promise that through my thoughts and in my heart, you are always with me, even when I’m not in “physical communication.”
What this has led to: Deep thoughts, incredible inspiration and butterflies in my tummy! Now I can only hope to use your inspiration and support in the most positive way in my future community.
So now, some logistics. I won’t have access to internet often over the coming months/years, but I will be able to get to Tana (Antananarivo, the capital of Madagascar) after some weeks of training and can probably use internet briefly then. After that it will probably be every 1-3 months when I get to internet. So, that is probably how often I’ll be able to update this, but I do hope you’ll check back periodically for updates. In the future i really hope to use this blog as a way to share my experience and all that I will be learning.
Ok, next time I’ll be writing from Madagascar!!
